Born on February 7, 1945, in Annaba, Moncef Guita holds a degree in biology from the École Normale Supérieure of Algiers and a doctorate in biology from the university. He has participated in numerous exhibitions since 1986 in various locations (Algiers, Annaba, Constantine, Paris, Tunisia, Syria, Romania, Libya, Seville-Spain). He exhibited in February 2006 at the Palace of Culture. He has also led several conferences on culture and visual arts in Algeria. In parallel to his career, Guita has pursued personal research in painting. His work, deeply influenced by contemporary art trends, reflects the influence of Klee, Kokoschka, Issiakhem, and Khadda. In a semi-abstract style that becomes increasingly minimalist, he develops geometric compositions.
