Born in 1963 in Dar El-Beïda, Algeria, Rachid Nacib is a distinguished visual artist and photographer known for creating a compelling dialogue between painting and photography. Drawing from his Algerian heritage, he produces striking images that explore light, material, and blur, forging a dynamic space between abstraction and engagement. His work features sensitive framing and richly textured surfaces, delving into the temporal aspects of imagery. Nacib has been honored with several distinguished awards, including the National Prize for his critically acclaimed series La Casbah et La Femme, a Gold Medal at the Salon du Printemps in Clichy, and a Silver Medal at the International Congress in Maharez.
