A visual artist, Emad Abd Elwahab studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Egypt (1993–1998). He completed his studies in Italy at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome (2002–2004), receiving the state award for artistic creativity “The Rome Grand Prix” and a restoration diploma from the International Institute for Restoration in Rome. He was the first Egyptian-Arab artist to carry out restoration work in the Vatican Museums for oil and mural works within an Italian team. After returning to Egypt, he obtained a master’s degree in Philosophy of Arts (2006) and a Ph.D. (2014). His work in oil painting observes social and intellectual variables within different societies, expressing them through visual theses that show the individual’s struggle within society. He has won many international awards.
