Samir Makhlouf was born in Tunis in 1964. In 1992, he obtained his architect’s diploma from ITAAT. Alongside teaching architecture, he has made painting and writing his main activities. Since 1992, he has produced around twenty solo exhibitions in Tunisia and participated in numerous group exhibitions worldwide. He has also written four novels, including Merminus Infinitif (Comar d’Or Prize 2020). His entire body of work is nourished by the research and conceptual inventions he has undertaken continuously since his architectural studies. This journey, where the domains of art, physics, biology, cognition, and philosophy intermingle, leads him to an original narration of the universe, constituting the major source of his fictional inspirations.
