About

Dalel Tangour is a Tunisian visual artist and one of the country’s first female photographers. Her work explores spaces of fragility and liminality, where light, silence, and suspended gestures become sources of emotion. Through photography and installation, she reflects on memory, presence, and the suspended time of inhabited spaces. Each detail becomes a trace of appearance and erasure, inviting the viewer into a quiet, intimate contemplation. With great formal delicacy, her practice unfolds between visual poetry and social observation. She has exhibited at the Arab World Institute in Paris, the History Library in Madrid, the SWAB Art Fair in Barcelona, the Mittelmeer Biennale in Cologne, the Bamako Biennale, Los Angeles, and in Tunisia, notably at the Bchira Art Center and the French Institute in Sfax.
