Mohamed Azzoug, a visual artist and designer born in 1973 in Algiers, developed a passion for drawing at an early age. A graduate of the Higher School of Fine Arts of Algiers in 1993, he has developed a committed and contemporary artistic practice. He has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions. In 2008, he created the literary trophy for the Algiers International Book Fair (SILA). He received the award for Best Foreign Artist in Nice in 2013, followed by an Honorary Award from the Zervas Art Club – UNESCO in Paris in 2019. In 2022, he exhibited at the 14th Dakar Biennale. Through his expressive and contemporary works, he questions modern systems and social tensions. His work offers a critical interpretation of the cultural and psychological shifts in our society.
