Lazhar Rahal is a ceramic artist, watercolorist, sculptor, and designer, born in 1963 in Biskra, Algeria. He graduated from the National School of Fine Arts in Algiers, specializing in ceramic art in 1988. He has presented dozens of solo and group exhibitions in various art events and salons across Algerian cities. His work is characterized by serious artistic research and a refined use of raw materials. His most recent exhibition, Nun Like a Palm Tree, took place in 2024 at the Maurice Labonne Hotel in Biskra. Lazhar Rahal is regarded as one of the leading visual artists in Biskra, actively mentoring young talents and organizing art workshops and cultural gatherings that enrich the local art scene.
