Born in Dalian in 1962, An Bin earned a Ph.D. from the University of Ulster, UK, in 2009. He is a professor at the China Academy of Art and a doctoral supervisor at the School of Painting. He serves as vice chairman of the Zhejiang Printmakers Association, director of the Zhejiang Oil Painters Association, and vice chairman of the Zhejiang Science Popularization Art Association. An Bin’s artworks won the Silver Award at the 7th China National Art Exhibition (1989), the Bronze Award at the 9th China National Art Exhibition in Beijing (1999), and the Lu Xun Printmaking Award in 1999. His works have been collected by more than 30 art museums in China and abroad, including the Ashmolean Museum (Oxford, UK), Beijing Provincial Art Museum, and Shanghai Art Museum.
