Abdel Qader Basalat holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Birzeit University (2020). He later began pursuing an interest in visual arts and learning their practices. He has since participated in numerous local and international exhibitions and artist residencies. Throughout his collage works, straight lines and geometric shapes are so prominent as to give a suburban feel to modern Palestinian architectural buildings constructed in concrete and covered in glass and white stone. Here, the integration of the second and third dimensions is so great that you lose focus on the transition point between the two, which forces the practice of seeing in a flowing manner. Spatial perception thus becomes a visual reference, transporting you to a place imbued with the visual stimulation representing modern Palestinian architecture.
