Eva Vēvere is a Latvian visual artist who works mainly through installation and site-responsive practices. This manifests through process-based events, performance, still and moving images, focusing on the architecture of time and the deconstruction of different aspects of life, connected both to mundane reality and philosophical issues. A graduate of the Art Academy of Latvia’s Painting Department, she also studied at the Helsinki Academy of Fine Arts (Finland). Her exhibition activity has included group shows at the Latvian National Museum of Art, annual Survival Kit festivals organized by the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art, and the National Library of Latvia. Her works can be found in the collections of the Latvian National Museum of Art, the Aspazija Collection at the Latvian Museum of Literature and Music, and the Noass Video Art Archive.
