Mohamed Al-Kharrubi was born in 1974 in Tripoli, Libya. He began his artistic education at the College of Arts and Media in Tripoli in 1997, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Design and Printing, and later a master’s degree in Fine Arts in 2018. Al-Kharrubi studied the art of calligraphy under the tutelage of Sheikh Abu Bakr Sassi Al-Maghribi and calligrapher Ibrahim Al-Maserati. He has participated in numerous artistic committees, including serving as head of the jury in the Iskandar House Calligraphy Competition in 2023. He has organized and participated in many art exhibitions in Libya and abroad, including Tunisia, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Austria, Sharjah, Cairo, Algeria, Spain, England, Italy, and Germany. Al-Kharrubi won third place at the Algiers International Festival of Arabic Calligraphy (2009) and second place (2012).
