Sera Maraka is a multidisciplinary artist exploring portraiture, landscape, and the human experience through oil painting, charcoal, and mixed media. Her work focuses on the poetry of daily routines—moments of waiting, preparing, and moving—revealing the emotional and psychological layers within the mundane. She has participated in many local and regional residencies and art projects. Her “Wadi al Nar” - Valley of Fire series explores the complex relationship between place, memory, and existence, inspired by the deep history and symbolism of this valley. The valley is not just a geographical route; it is a vital lifeline connecting the north and south of the West Bank and a symbol of resilience and waiting in the face of complex political realities.
