Born on the first day of spring, under the sign of Aries, Karim Sergoua dives headfirst into art. A graduate of the Fine Arts School of Algiers, everything interests him, everything inspires him, everything pushes him to create. He has traversed decades as an explorer of forms, materials, mediums, and emotions. Action painting, body painting, performances, frescoes — nothing resists him. As an assistant at the ESBA (School of Fine Arts), he both transmits knowledge and invents new ideas. He enjoys projects that overflow from the frame, collaborations that disrupt habits, such as those with the P’art-ci P’art-là collective and Essabaghine, where painting becomes a shared adventure. Always on the move, he exhibits in Algeria and abroad, participates in various artistic actions that create dialogues between painting, public space, and performance. Always ready to experiment, Karim paints as he breathes: with urgency, with pleasure, with freedom.
